Summary: It's even better in person

Comment: I watched this program before my trip to Croatia in 2007. The videography is as good as always for the Nature series on PBS. Unless you go there and see it in every season, this is as good as it gets. Of course it is only a documentary and you must go there and experience it in person to appreciate how magnificent a place Plitvice National Park really is.

Comment: Land of the Falling Lakes is about the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. I could not believe a place like this still exists in Europe. A very beautiful and unique wilderness worth learning about.
The program is typical of the high quality production of the Nature program on PBS. Beautiful cinematography with well thought out narration and music.

Summary: A Fantasy World On Earth

Comment: I've always loved waterfalls; and in this DVD, I couldn't get enough of the beautiful scenery and the extraordinary development of this land after the brutal war that the land endured. The animals (brown bear, wolves, beaver, etc.) live in such a peaceful setting and it's interesting to see the lives they have in all seasons. It is one of the oldest national parks in the world and I would suggest anyone, who has the ability to travel, to make it a destination and see the beauty up close.
